Jonathan Velasco
Field Application Engineer – TechnologyWHAT DO YOU DO AT NOHAU?
I provide technical support in the area of Static Application Security Testing (SAST) using tools such as CodeSonar (Grammatech) and standard compliance tools such as QA MISRA (QA Systems). I also work with the sales and marketing staff to create exciting demonstrations to showcase the importance of SAST in code development, security and operation (DevSecOps).
Furthermore, I assist with Nohau's Linux based training courses. Come meet me at our Linux Device Drivers Course or Yocto Project Course, in Finland.
WHY WORK AT NOHAU?
I work at Nohau Solutions because it gives me exposure to the embedded and testing world in a way that no other company can. We partner with companies that develop high quality tools to qualify and ensure good development practices.
Although, my work is mainly on the SAST area, Nohau encourages personal development and provides you with opportunities to grow in the direction of your interests. In my case - Embedded Linux / Kernel Development and RUST programming language.
My coworkers are highly skilled but also approachable, which is also a great plus. Due to the proximity with the other offices, and because of market similarities, we work closely with the other Nohau branches (Sweden and Denmark), which sometimes leads to some nice international trips.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT AT WORK?
I have two sides: the technical side and the artistic side. When I'm not at work, I'm usually helping on open source projects related to Multiphysics or electromagnetics modeling, or simply working on projects like building my own website. On the artistic side, you'll catch me playing my acoustic guitar for at least an hour a day.
I'm also trying to learn Finnish. moikka kaikille :)
